  The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, Paul the Bar Supervisor particularly going the extra yard on more than one occasion. The huge beds are also fantastic and hugely comfortable. This was our second stay as my partner's Mother suffered a serious illness recently and we are sure that over the coming weeks, during her (hopeful) full recover... vad folk säger » y, we will look to stay many more times. - rooms very comfortable, staff very helpful. Adjacent pub very good food value for money.

  Pretty much everything! The people were friendly and very welcoming. We arrived at 23:30hrs with 2 bicycles and they gave us the key to a secure room where we could keep them. The room was very comfortable and spacious, big shower, very clean and newly refurbished probably (?), plus the full English breakfast was indeed a FULL English breakfast... vad folk säger » . Full marks all round! - Top hotel comfort at a budget price. Small hotel spread over adjacent houses, but this was not a problem. Extreamly clean, very comfortable, everything worked. Best hotel shower I've ever had; fast flow, water hot from start. Full English breakfast excellent. One night with breakfast for £34.99...you can't go wrong!

  Hazel & Mike were great hosts. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. I was trading at the Abergavenny Food Festival and Hazel gave me a flask of tea as she knew how busy we'd be which was a lovely gesture. She also allowed me to store some things in her fridge! Bedroom was cleaned daily. The location is fab - max 10m walk into town centre.... vad folk säger » - Very friendly hosts and provided us with an evening meal without booking ahead, with last minute changes. Helped with bags and drying us out as it was really pouring.

  This is an excellent B&B! Our room opened onto a patio with table and chairs, looking straight out to fields and countryside. The room beautifully decorated, light, modern and bright, and was like a mini-apartment with a small kitchen including sink, hob, microwave, fridge, and plenty of plates and cutlery to allow for takeaways. There is some traffic noise (ment - Our room was very well fitted out - plenty of space and the added facilities of a kitchenette. It looked out over the meadow so the noise from the road was not a problem to us. We were very comfortable and delighted that we ended up staying here. This was not our first choice but we 'lucked out', as it happened. Our first choice 'The Old Rectory' in Tintern discovered a 'computer error' and therefore double booking about 10 days prior to our arrival. (We had booked two months earlier through

  The hotel room was really comfortable and quiet, liked the fact there was a bottle of water besides the usual tea/ coffee making facilities. - Great value for money! Staff we're extremely pleasant and the breakfast was fantastic!

  Karen, Simon and the Staff were outstandingly friendly and professional. My wife is gluten free and we hadn't told them in advance because we were not sure if we would be having breakfast. We decided to and they actually went out and bought a loaf of gluten free bread so that she could have toast with her breakfast! Couldn't have asked for anything more.Thank you al - We were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Very helpful and efficient staff. Lovely cosy bar. Comfortable rooms. They even arranged to bring in a hair dryer on the morning for my wife and daughter. Decent beer and a good, well priced wine list. The food was excellent and generous. Should we visit Abergavenny again, we will stay at the Farmers Arms without a doubt.

  Everything was so great! We loved Ian and Anika. They did so many special things to make our time in Wales very special. The breakfasts were astonishing, the room totally charming with a lovely comfortable bed and pastoral river view. We were close enough to walk to local pubs, famous walks, Tintern Abbey.   Couldn't be more helpful and friendly -nothing was too much trouble. Made to feel very much 'at home'. Close to many attractions - both city and countryside and only a short walk to trains and buses. - Excellent.
