  WOW. We travel a lot as a family, and there are only a few places we've stayed that really impressed us -- this was one of them. Everything was lovely. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, comfortable, modern and elegant, without being fussy or overly decorated (or a worry about the kids accidentally breaking something). ... vad folk säger » Everything was clean, and the little details were there, like complimentary shampoo, and even fresh washcloths (something so many hotels seem to have - A beautiful guest house! The room was wonderful, with an exceptionally comfortable bed, excellent bathroom and lots of extra little touches (like cookies, bottled water, fast wifi, extra blankets and even a hot water bottle!) A very warm welcome, with a "help yourself to anything that would make your stay more comfortable" approach. I stayed over the night before attending a conference in the area, but will certainly try to return for leisure. Highly recommended.

  First class accommodation in a country setting. If you find yourself in the armagh area you would be hard pressed to find better accommodation. This B & B is located 3 miles from town so would appeal to the self drive traveller. Easy to find. Owners very professional and have a natural flair for running this style of business. Proprieters were delightful, helpful, kind and friendly and looked after my elderly Mum and I very well. Room was perfect, clean, fresh, comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was simply delicious and the service was wonderful. We were sad to go and it felt like leaving old friends!

  Liz and Larry very welcoming, and superb hosts all round. Everything was spotless.The setting was beautiful, and we were lucky to get really nice weather. - Warm, friendly welcome from Larry and Liz. Couldn't be more accommodating.

  i received a warm welcome, i liked been able to book as a sole traveller at a reasonable price - this is often very difficult. i enjoyed the ulster fry. - Alice and Dermot were superb people. They really look after you and the room was spotless.

  We just loved the ambience of Charlemont House, the hostess was so friendly, and the location just perfect. We dined at the local restaurant which is just marvellous, and just a walk up the street. The whole village was quant, and The Village Antiques Shop, was an attaction also. We just loved the whole experience, and will be back again.   The Charlemont Arms Hotel is an old traditional city hotel but very tastefully modernised. The rooms were a good size and very comfortable and with all modern additions you'd expect such as tv, en suite bathroom and tea and coffee making facilities. We went to reception a number of times during our stay and were always served promptly and efficiently. The staff were friendly throughout the hotel. The breakfast was delicious. It is more centrally based than the City Hotel, I am glad we booked the Charlemont.
