  I took my girlfriend away for the weekend, and we had an amazing time. The staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome and the facilities are very modern and clean. The grounds are well kept and I proposed to my girlfriend in the rock garden, which looks like something straight out of a fantasy film. I would absolutely recommend this hote... vad folk säger » l to couples, and we would love to stay here again. - Wonderful historic building and rooms. Lovely setting. Wernher restaurant is quite exceptional. Golf course massive. Clay pigeon shooting top. Highly recommended as a historic and luxurious weekend. However I think you need to be in the main building - you wouldn't want to be in the modern block - no matter how sympathetically designed. That would eliminate the whole point of the experience.

  Staff at reception efficient and friendly, waiting staff ditto. Food we had excellent (wedding breakfast) and the vegetarian dish I had absolutely delicious! - I liked the bedroom, comfortable, nice furnishing, good tea and coffee
