Modern but tastefully decorated with good quality bed linen.
Our room had a lake view and a nice big window.
Breakfast room was spacious and breakfast was cooked in an open kitchen which gave a great athmosphere.
Lovely little balcony to sit in the sun if you are lucky enough to get any!

Delightful B&B. Homely, very clean and well kept, right on main high street near shops, with a variety of bars/cafes/coffee shops and restaurants to choose from for lunches and evening meals. Location couldn't have been better with everything within easy walking distance. Our room was at the front of the house, and we were surprised how large it was and how comfortable. Really welcoming proprietors; nothing was too much trouble for Dave and Manny. Breakfasts good with locally sourced food

The owners had arranged a lovely basket of flowers for my wife as it was our anniversary but also upgraded our room what a lovely touch, a very clen and bright hotel lovely freindly staff in a great position. Very confortable rooms and great to have a bar and social area so that you can unwind after a busy day. Breakfasts were excellent and offers

More than anything, the hosts. The most helpful and friendliest I have ever met. Even if the appartment had been less than perfect (which it wasn't) it wouldn't have mattered because Graham & Janett are just so nice ! Very clean shower ! This was a lovely B&B with very welcoming, courteous owners. Breakfast was exceptional, as was the value. The view from our room was stunning. A very short taxi in to Bowness made it a great location, close to restaurants but in a peaceful setting. I would stay there again without hesitation. -

Ian was a very good host, he was friendly and informative and easy to talk to. This stay was made more enjoyable with his personal touch.
He prepared delightful English & Vegetarian breakfasts for us. We loved his mushrooms and coffee.
The room is small but cosy. This isn't a luxury hotel so for the price we paid, it is great value-for-money.

It's the best place I have stayed ever. Very kind and thoughtful staff. We brought our 1.5 years old for a leisure weekend. When we arrived the room, toys and a trolley have been prepared for her. The breakfast was wonderful. My wife and my daughter were really happy during the stay. Best place ever!

Great welcome and comfortable room. Exceptionally good breakfasts - well cooked and served. Good attention to detail. Very short walk along the road to Windermere shops and restaurants. The 7 pound bus will take you to the lakes - stops at end of road. We went up to Grasmere to see Dove Cottage, Wordsworth's beloved home. We asked about doing some washing and it was done overnight. Very quiet and adequate. Beds clean and comfy. A lovely old house full of character which had a nice feel about it but very tired and dated. No problem with that as price was fair. Decorators were coming in as we were leaving so hotel is making effort. Wi-Fi very fast and reliable. This old building must be expensive to upkeep. -

Rather than catch a bus he offered to drop us off on his way. I don't think this sort of service would come from a 5 star international hotel.
