We (my husband and I) stayed in BB 3 nights. It was a very good experience. People here is very friendly and willing to help for anything. Our room is designed so amazing as Scotland style. It's also excellent with the price you pay. We strongly recommend visitors staying this beautiful and good -serviced BB.

Hotellet var litet och trivsamt, ca. 10 rum. Personalen mycket vänligoch tillmötesgående och hjälpsam. Rummet var ganska litet (1 pers.) menljust och prydligt, vätte mot en vacker och lugn gård, och badrummetlikaså/ renoverat för 3 år sedan, liksom hela hotellet I trevligaharmoniska färger. In fact being near the station meant parking was very convenient as we were able to use the station car park (£6 per day). Breakfast good. Free internet. Only 10 minute walk from one end of Princes Street and was on the main bus route anyway so it was easy to get around without having to use the car. - Room was lovely. Stayed in a single room but it was very spacious - didn't feel at all cramped. Was well appointed. Breakfast was great. Location is good too - across from Haymarket station and only a 10 minute walk to Princes Street. Would definitely recommend it.

We stayed at Dunstane city hotel during our business visit to Edinburgh University. Hotel is located in very quiet area and at the same time is in walking distance from city center. Rooms are very comfortable, warm and clean. Staff is very friendly. Hotel offers full Scottish breakfast free of charge, evening meals is delicious and not expensive.

Bathrooms modern and clean.
If you want to stay out of central downtown, are driving a car and take buses and tours, this works very well. Some signs of wear and tear here and there but it has the character of an older building which was exactly what I was looking for in Scotland. The downstairs sitting room with snacks and bar fridge a nice feature. Business office available.

The whole experience at The Hostel was great! the employees at the Hostel went out of their way to help you with any kind of problems and queries. You felt like you where more around friends than just an ordinary guest.

The staff is great and stayed up late to be able to check me in even though it was past their reception hours, and she had a great and fun attitude even though I had woken her up. The hostel wants to become the best hostel in Edinburgh and are open to critique which gave me the sense that I was a honored guest and I felt very welcome. A pretty good hostel.

Channings was an outstanding hotel. I was extremely impressed with the staff who were very friendly and helpful.
