  We have sayed in this apartment before and couldn't fault it - the stairs are a bit of a hike (you might think twice before bringing older family members) but the apartment is beautifully situated and well appointed. The kitchen is well catered for and there is plenty of space generally. There's ample bedding but you might prefer to bring extra tow... vad folk säger » els although there are some there.   There is NO better place to stay. The staff is simply wonderful... Especially Harvey! This is the most ideal location.. You are by everything! It made my hop on hop off tour kind of pointless because of the fact you are that close to everything...and the flats were fantastic!! The one on Blair st is updated and a bit modern while the ones on High... vad folk säger » St have more of that historic charm. I stayed an extra day because I enjoyed myself so much. They are very accommodating, helpful, and considerate. - 1) Location for sight-seeing. 2) Facilities included kitchen and washing machine in apartment. The kitchen was well-equipped for its purpose as a travel accommodation. 3) Separate bedroom, so if you travel with someone whose sleep schedule is different than yours, they will not have to wake you up. I don't know how much the company will accommodate your request, such as for a quiet apartment, but they supposedly do have different properties under their management, so it's worthwhile to ask.

  The hotel building was very impressive, the staff were friendly and helpful, the room was superb and the food was excellent. Ideally placed for us, as we were attending the March & Rally for Scottish Independence on Calton Hill that weekend. We only stayed two nights and didn't have time to use the spa/pool but it looked really nice.   Loved the apt in general and its close proximity to everything ofimportance in regards to sightseeing and restaurants. Also, they werevery accomodating. Check out was at 1100 but our train didn't departuntil 1700 so we wanted to leave our luggage somewhere and continuetouring the city. It was very spacious - ideal for children. The location is perfect - right in the heart of Edinburgh. The staff went out of their way to assist us and were so helpful. I would thoroughly recommend St Giles Apartments and it is much better value than a hotel if you are travelling with children.
