  This is a small family-run hotel with lots of character. Our host Lorenzo was friendly & helpful, the food excellent & very reasonably priced, the room small but comfortable. Located in the heart of Hampstead, it's an ideal base for visitors to London who prefer to stay close but not in the centre. The Heath & beautiful Kenwood House are a short stroll away. - The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and made us feel so welcome. The room was small but comfortable and the location was perfect. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was superb. The building has lots of character. We would definitely stay here again.

  The price includes breakfast, not many do in London. It was close to Finchly station (don't get off tube at Swiss Cottage as we did)! Clean and modern.   On check in, they mentioned the hostel was fully booked that night, so I was a bit nervous it would impact on comfort and sleep quality. Was happily proved wrong, yes, it was busy, but I didn't have to queue for toilets/showers at any time, and breakfast was fine, with plenty of free space at the tables. Loved the curtains - gave a great deal - I only stayed here for one night, but was really impressed by the value for money and what the lodge provided! I only paid 14 pounds to stay in a mixed 18 bed dorm, which I was very unfortunate in that there were not a lot of guests occupying the room and were all very quiet. The room was very large and the decor of the whole lodge was so cute! Very british and quaint.
