  trevlig personal - stones throw from the palace - truly in the heart of london. the rooms, the staff, the dining - everything was absolutely perfect. they have a sister hotel that is literally down the street, it is more expensive and a perhaps a little more grand - but everything is 'modernized' with a blackandwhite motif ... and that hotel uses ... vad folk säger » the restaurants at the rubens for their special packages. - From the moment we arrived at the Hotel to the minute that we left, we were treated like the most important people in the establishment. All the staff were polite, helpful and very friendly. I would definitely stay at the Rubens again, our room was recently refurbished and was in excellent condition. The room service was impressive and the food the best I've ever tasted in a hotel.

  When I realized that London hotel rooms are very, very small, I found the 9 Hertford Street apartment hotel. It's location is excellent: just off Piccadilly st., very close to Green Park underground station that brings you anywhere (including to and from Heathrow airport with the Piccadilly line) , a 25 minutes walk to Oxford st.   The hotel is situated really centrally in the heart of Covent Grd. The staff at the reception, friendly and polite, took trouble to arrange us a wished for quiet room. The room as well as the bathroom were good-sized and comfortably furnished. The breakfast buffet had a great variety of food and was not too expensive.
