  Staff were very friendly and helpful. The downstairs rooms were lovely, it's easy to see what a great house the building must once have been. The room was excellent value for money, especially as the price included breakfast, and the location is good, only 10 mins walk down the hill into Bath. Don't let your satnav take you through the scary backs... vad folk säger » treets with steep roads, the hotel is easily reached by bigger and less scary ones! - V friendly staff - good setting up the hill from the city but with a fine view from upper floors - bedroom was functional clean comfortable with a v powerful shower - and although the decor was a little tired and dated it added to the overall feel of an old English hotel from years ago - so whilst that could seem negative in fact it added to the fun of the one night stay.

  Ett mysigt typiskt engelskt hotell vilket var precis vad vi ville ha. För övrigt en utmärkt engelsk frukostbuffé. - The bathroom was huge, it was the size of a bedroom and had a large window, seperate shower and tub and lots of space, the bed was very clean and comfortable and lots of room in the bedroom as well. The hotel had a great full english ... vad folk säger » breakfast buffet and the hotel was in a fabulous spot by the river and a few minutes walk to the Roman baths - Excellent location, traditionally British a hotel frozen in time, you can sit and take in the ambience of days gone by in a magnificent City. The breakfast was excellent and the evening meal with enjoyable. All the staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel has a quiet relaxing feel, althought just a short stroll to the middle of Bath.
