  It is a suite hotel less than a ten minute walk from the main Railway Station and ten seconds off the Royal Mile. Our suite was actually a fully equipped apartment with dishwasher, microwave kitchen sink refrigerator and plenty of kitchen utensils.   Fantastic apartment in a great location, close to the main bars and shops etc. Someone came and met us at the apartment to show us around, how to use the heating, oven etc. The apartment had 3 bedrooms upstairs with 8 single beds then down a spiral staircase to the huge living space, kitchen and patio doors to an outside decking area.   We had a fabulous one night stay at The Chester Residence. Staff were very helpful and the suite was fantastic. All rooms were very spacious (we had the 1st floor suite) and the location was only about 5 minutes walk from Haymarket and Princes Street. The neighborhood was quiet and clean. Flat screen tv with multiple satellite channels. Kitchen well stocked daily with breakfast/snack items. Reception/housekeeping more than helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend to anyone and return to this hotel without a doubt.

  The apartment is spacious, located within 1.5 km of the castle (about a 15 min walk uphill). It is on a quiet street on the 4th floor (5th flr for Americans) with a view of the castle from the bedroom windows. The bedrooms get morning sun and the living area/kitchen gets afternoon sun. There is a lot of storage space available. - We liked the builidng design, facilities, furnishings, kitchen and bathroom facilities and location. Nice views of castle to rear and canal basin from lounge. Communal lobby and lift were clean too.
