The Elder York Guest House is a lovely place to stay in Edinburgh! The location is excellent, walking distance to all attractions. There are road works going on, but these won't interrupt your stay and should be over soon. We were greeted on arrival in a friendly way and shown our very clean and spacious room, with bathroom ensuite. Our host offered an excellent recommendation for a pub for dinner. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Our hostess, Linda is an absolute sweetheart. She was extremely helpful and very accommodating. Even after being late by almost 30 mins, she agreed to serve us fresh breakfast.

Excellent location, one could not wish for a better one - close by the Haymarket railway station and the Airlink bus stop, within a walking distance from the center, two huge supermarkets nearby and a few nice fastfood places. Friendly staff; nice continental breakfast. -

thought it was well worth the money and would definately use again - clean, nice friendly lady (only saw this one member of staff) but she was v helpful. room very clean and bed was comfortably but its a bit dated. Isabel and Harry were the perfect hosts. On our arrival, seeing my husband had a disability our room was immediately changed to a first floor room from a second floor room, without even asking. Molly and Roxy the family dogs were adorable and very friendly. We have no problem recommending and staying here again, fantastic.

The people at Martins Guesthouse were very friendly and the breakfast was perfect. I had the small room with a tiny ensuite bathroom on the top floor, but I knew that beforehand and I do not need much space - so it was perfectly ok for me. Overall, I can absolutely recommend Martins Guesthouse. -
