  From the moment Douglas picked me up from the airport I knew I was in good hands . I had no idea that the drive to the beautifully appointed house would be through Hatfield Heath and would involve seeing deer ,pheasant , rabbits and a hare ! The house was beautiful , the roll top bath divine and my room warm , welcoming and tastefully furnished . W... vad folk säger » ill fly via Stanstead in future just to visit . - Fantastic 18th-century farmhouse, charmingly furnished, all mod cons (great clawfoot bathtub!), across the street from authentic pub with great food. Makes the Stansted airport experience much easier to bear!

  The staff were lovely and very accommodating The location - I have never been anywhere with so many pretty cottages, halls & countryside walks in such quick succession - utterly surprised (& I'm from the home counties with family in deepest Dorset & Devon) The food at The Cricketers is delicious - I hadn't looked up the menu before bo... vad folk säger » oking & so had considered dining out but on looking at the menu, I was convinced to stay put. They provide creative and traditional meals, present - Our room was spotlessly clean & very comfortable. The bed & bedding were superb. We really enjoyed our evening meal, which is several cuts above 'pub grub'. The breakfast was especially good, with a wide range of choices, like the delicious Eggs Florentine I had. The service was very efficient and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. The settin is a perfect example of an English village with a village green, & was very peaceful.

  Very cosy - Lovely room - would have liked a chair or table for business. Loved the olde worlde pub! Loved the warm radiator. Loved the power shower - really good.
