  Outstanding room ( I took a suite with a breath taking view. Quite and clean. Staff mostly were very friendly and helpful.   Excellent location which would be extremely difficult to beat. Even staying in the old town (Citta Vecchia) of Locarno is not as convenient as Hotel Rio Garni.   The warm friendly hosts, Urs and Barbara who welcomed us from day one. They were very helpful accommodating all our needs even providing an Italian coffee maker. Location is excellent, in the old part of the city. Perfect if you like historic buildings and winding streets. It is close to shops and it is possible to walk from the station.   Mycket trevlig personal och bra frukost. - Hotel had been fully refurbished and was well equipped, excellent decor and very clean. Breakfast was good, which could be taken outside on the verandah. Parking is good - either right outside the hotel or in excellent secure garage about 100m up the road. Expensive taxi ride there during the evenings unless you know the trick, which the owner will tell you about (but inly when you get there!). It needs to be on the website.
