Hotel Garni du Lac is superbly situated near the train, cablecar, & boat terminals, staff and service are excellent, and everything is very comfortable.   Mycket trevlig personal och bra frukost. - Hotel had been fully refurbished and was well equipped, excellent decor and very clean. Breakfast was good, which could be taken outside on the verandah. Parking is good - either right outside the hotel or in excellent secure garage about 100m up the road. Location was excellent - 5 mins to lake and centre. - The hotel not over expensive as it was modern, clean, efficient, with friendly staff and situated close to the railway station.

  Great location, directly at the lake. We could walk everywhere, trainstation was close. The lake view from the balcony was great. Good breakfast, with many choices of bread, croissants, yoghurt...   The warm friendly hosts, Urs and Barbara who welcomed us from day one. They were very helpful accommodating all our needs even providing an Italian coffee maker. Location is excellent, in the old part of the city. Perfect if you like historic buildings and winding streets. It is close to shops and it is possible to walk from the station.   Very friendly, warm and helpful staff. Makes you feel welcome and well cared for. Nice balcony in the room and a pretty garden to eat breakfast. Excellent breakfast with good bread, good selection of local cheeses, nice coffee and healthy (and unhealthy) muesli choices. Flexible breakfast hours.   Everything was good. View from the hotel is amazing and the location permitted us to undertake the hiking trip to Cimmetta & Cardada. Ideal for people planning to stay on the mountains & undertake some hiking trips. The food was really great and we're overwhelmed with the nice dishes prepared in the dinner by Marco himself.
