The staff were immediately welcoming when I dropped off my bag on my way to a meeting on arrival in Basel. The room had windows to open at night (many hotels have sealed windows). The location was perfect thanks to the map on your booking website. When I had to get up and leave at 4.30 the night manager made me a cup of tea which was beyond the

My husband and I stayed only one night. The staff spoke English to us, which we appreciated. The staff were friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. We were given excellent instructions to use the tram (our first time on a tram) to get to the old town shopping area.

Quiet hotel, really helpful reception staff. Excellent location for transport links. Breakfast is really good and worth paying extra for. Room was spotlessly clean. This hotel is superb value for money, especially given that Switzerland is generally very expensive.

We always arrive late on a Friday for our weekend trips as we leave after work, and with codes to get in and for getting your room key that was no problem at all.
The windows and blinds were also amazing - there was a jazz band playing across the street Friday night but as soon as we closed the window we couldn't hear anything and the blinds kept

The staff did go above what they tell they'd offer: i.e. checking me in outside of their opening hours because they were there "anyway" and I could leave my luggage with them because the room wasn't ready (I was before check-in time) and because I would return so late, they brought it up to my room. I definitely did not expect this from a "budget hotel"!
