  Great location right at the heart of the city. We had a view from our window to the square. The square was quite busy most of the night, but still we didn't hear any noise. Good sound-proofing.   We loved the cleanliness of the Hostal. We also enjoyed the excellent location and walking distance to historical sites and museums. Our host, Luisa was excellent, helpful and very friendly. She was there to greet us and allowed us to come back for an extra day after our train to Paris was cancelled. Her brother was also very helpful and friendly.... vad folk säger » We would come back to the same Hostal without hesitation next time we visit Madrid. - Loved the location, Hostal Mayor was close to major attractions such as Plaza Mayor and Puerta del Sol. It was also very near the underground. Shower had great pressure and the rooms were very clean. In addition to this the view from the balcony was also great. Over all a nice comfortable place to stay, we enjoyed it and would recommend to others

The same since 3 years and i think the best quality/price in Madrid! The price is great for what you get! this was my 3rd stay in this hostel and I spoke to others staying in other hostels paying more and they wernt anywhere near as good!

  Fantastic location (you can walk everywhere from there), perfect facilities and lots of kitchen utensils, excellent and efficient staff, easy check in/check out process, extremely clean, amazing terrace, no noise and black out blinds for great sleep. Comfy sofas and two TVs. Brand new lift to 7th floor. Absolutely perfect would definitely stay her... vad folk säger » e again! - Central location, didn't use the metro at all in 5 days. On the 7th floor (with a lift) so although in the middle of everything it was very quiet. If you didn't close the blinds you can see the sky whilst lying in bed, nice.Fully equiped kitchen. Very fast free wi fi.
