We loved the cleanliness of the Hostal. We also enjoyed the excellent
location and walking distance to historical sites and museums. Our
host, Luisa was excellent, helpful and very friendly. She was there to
greet us and allowed us to come back for an extra day after our train
to Paris was cancelled. Her brother was also very helpful and friendly.
We would come back to the same Hostal without hesitation next time we

Loved the location, Hostal Mayor was close to major attractions such as
Plaza Mayor and Puerta del Sol. It was also very near the underground.
Shower had great pressure and the rooms were very clean. In addition to
this the view from the balcony was also great. Over all a nice
comfortable place to stay, we enjoyed it and would recommend to others.
The room was clean, bright, confortable and the tastefully decorated. The bathroom was perfectly clean and the towels soft. The lady at the reception was really kind and helpful even if she speaks only in spanish.
The hotel is in the city centre, close to the tube statio Puerta del sol.
The staff was very friendly, room was very clean, with a modern bathroom. Also, the location, right between Plaza Mayor and Puerta del Sol, is incredible for the price, but I was afraid it would be noisy, and was pleasantly surprised to find it nice and quiet.
location is perfect, the receptionist is very nice and smile. the room is neat but small. the receptiong is on the 3 floor so it's a little unconvenient for first time visiting.

The rooms were a little small. Also don't but heavy items such as a
suit case on the table in the room it was not very stable.
The mattress was rather narrow and not particularly comfortable.
the stauff is an aged friendly Lady, but she can't speak English.
