  It was a great location, very clean, the staff where very helpful, the lift was good to have, there were drinks available to buy at low rates but no other services that are common in hotels.   Really nice hotel. Location is exactly what is mentioned in all other reviews. The girls from reception - Maria and Elena -were very hospitable and friendly and both deserve a certain salary increase. Rooms are not much specious but always clean and tidy. The hotel itself is renewed build recently and you can see it at once. The price is great for what you get! this was my 3rd stay in this hostel and I spoke to others staying in other hostels paying more and they wernt anywhere near as good!

  We spent just one night at the Hostal Macarena, when passing Madrid on our way back from holiday. It's a lovely place in the heart of Madrid (Plaza Mayor is just behind the corner!), surrounded by many bars, restaurants and little stores. The room is quite small, but well equipped and clean. Staff doesn't speak very good English, but is very nice.... vad folk säger » I'd recommend this place especially for young people - as it's situated in the very city centre, everybody's partying and so it's quite noisy till la - Location, location, location! Two steps from the plaza Mayor and many other attractions, located on a little street with animation. Staff is courteous and helpful. They kept our luggage all day so we could walk around freely untill we left to take the train. Room was clean, confortable and big enough. Very good quality for the price. I recommend this hotel wihtout any hesitation.

  Wonderful view. Great location. Breakfast at the high class restaurant below the location is limited but usual for Spain. Nice staff and owner. Very different to commercial establishments in as much as it is a converted apartment and was very interesting for us, a mature couple. We were placed in a huge room at no extra cost. Very clean.   Everything! The staff were very nice and helpful, especially Ioana:) She hepled me a lot. I even got a gift from the hotel! So sweet! The hotel is located in the heart of city center, walking distance to shops, restaurants, bus stops etc. Rooms are not big but very comfortable, I got a balcony with my room. I had a really great time in Madrid. - It was an amazing hostel. The centric location, it is connected to all public transportations.
