  Ourgrown family of 5 stayed overnight this week while visiting the snow monkeys. The hotel and staff more than met our expectations. The hotel was smaller than expected, but that was a plus. The rooftop onsens were fabulous, the first we have tried in Japan. The recommendations for local restaurants given by staff were spot on. We would not hesita... vad folk säger » te to stay here again, nor to recommend to family and friends. - Everything, the warm welcome, the very very friendly staff, the clean rooms, the splendid breakfast (you can choose western or Japanese style) , the relaxing onsen (hot spa), the nature around the village. Perfect place to relax for a opulent of days. They have a ping pong table, which my son enjoyed a lot.

  We initially booked a double room but chose to upgrade on site to a suite, including a private onsen on our balcony. This upgrade was no problem and the best descision we could make. It was just LOVELY to share a bath overlooking the river, mountains and town (drinkig together a tea; in the onsen, but don't tell).   The hotel manager Yuki made our stay a very memorable one. She and her staff introduced us to the pleasures of a Ryokan Onsen. The food was excellent, the service fantastic and they offered a lift to and from the Snow Monkey park and the train.
