  Ourgrown family of 5 stayed overnight this week while visiting the snow monkeys. The hotel and staff more than met our expectations. The hotel was smaller than expected, but that was a plus. The rooftop onsens were fabulous, the first we have tried in Japan. The recommendations for local restaurants given by staff were spot on. We would not hesita... vad folk säger » te to stay here again, nor to recommend to family and friends. - Everything, the warm welcome, the very very friendly staff, the clean rooms, the splendid breakfast (you can choose western or Japanese style) , the relaxing onsen (hot spa), the nature around the village. Perfect place to relax for a opulent of days. They have a ping pong table, which my son enjoyed a lot.

  The food was fantastic. The service was wonderful. The rooms are very nice. They are traditional style Japanese rooms, though some rooms also have western style beds. While the hotel is definitely an upper class, nice hotel, it is not super fancy, or verly extravagant or over the top in terms of luxury.   We initially booked a double room but chose to upgrade on site to a suite, including a private onsen on our balcony. This upgrade was no problem and the best descision we could make. It was just LOVELY to share a bath overlooking the river, mountains and town (drinkig together a tea; in the onsen, but don't tell).   Yudanaka Seifuso is really a gem of a hotel! The location is perfect, it is less than 5min walking from Yudanaka station and in the most scenic part of town. The owners are extremely friendly and if possible they would drive you up to the snow monkey park or Shibu onsen - both of which are absolutely a must see, especially Shibu. The inner baths are ni - The manager / owner's son Matsuo Ozeki San was very helpful and friendly. Camer to personally pick me up late at night from the Yudanaka Railway station which is less than 3 minutes walk from the hotel. The room was a traditional Japanese room, very spacious and with all amenities. I really enjoyed their Onsen which was very clean. Being a vegetarian I had opted for without meals plan. Their is a lawson convenience store just around the corner where I could pick up basic veg packed food, fruits

  The hotel manager Yuki made our stay a very memorable one. She and her staff introduced us to the pleasures of a Ryokan Onsen. The food was excellent, the service fantastic and they offered a lift to and from the Snow Monkey park and the train.
