  Very neat, clean, professional and up-market hotel compared to our usual 'backpacker' lodgings. Most expensive accommodation we stayed in, but could not find any better - due to our late booking and its very central location a short walk from the station and a very short walk to the castle. Very nice Japanese style rooms with roomy shower/bath and (seperate) toilet room. - The hotel is very well located, a few steps away from Matsumoto castle, the tourism office and many restaurants. Very clean and comfortable, the hotel has an onsen on site and offers free bicycle rental. The staff is polite, helpful, and at ease in English. Probably the best cost / value hotel that I have seen in Japan.

  The hotel is well located and easy to find from the station as it is just up the main street. About a 10min walk through the town to the castle. Close to the shops and restaurants. I had a twin room, and it was very comfortable and reasonably spacious with a separate sitting area and entrance. The hotel staff is professional and helpful.   Only 1 minute away from the train station, this hotel is fine for an overnight stay. A variety of restaurants are only a couple of blocks away, and the Matsumoto castle is within walking distance. The hotel is part of a group which includes a spa outside of town. They provide bus transportation and allow guests to use the spa free of charge.
