  Everything was great! The room was cozy for the six days Ive stayed in! Icy cold air conditioning! The owner's mother who runs it is absolutely darling! And everything was super clean with wonderful service. I liked the area because although I was a bit far from the train station, once you got your head around it, you can get there easily in 15-20... vad folk säger » minutes. T - The hotel is actually quite "self-service" but no worries, there is a staff that will assist you when you check in. She is really friendly and helpful. I love the bathroom so much, there's even a small tv inside the bathroom where you can watch tv while you enjoying your bath. There is a heater and dryer air system in the bathroom as well.   The hotel is nice and our room (two adults and two kids) was quite large. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We never ate at any of the hotel restaurants and so cannot comment. As with other Japan hotes they provide lots of amenities. All in all it was good choice and good value for money. The purpose of my vacation was to see the temples, see the Gion district, and dress up like a Geisha. She helped me to plan everything with the buses, trains, taxis, etc. She had maps for me in English that were extremely helpful. The hotel is centrally located near the main attractions of Kyoto making it ideal for my vacation.

  Very good location and a great hotel! What a gem! Loved our stay here! The staff are very competent (all spoke English) and helped with all our requests. While it's about 2-3 stations away from the hub JR station, it is so close to many places of interests.   Excellent central location in Gion. The taxi driver from Kyoto station was not familiar with the hotel or its location. When drivers don't know a destination, they can locate it by calling the hotel so make sure you have the phone number handy.   We had a very japanise style room. Very luxurious with privated garden. The bathroom was a dream. May be the best I´ve ever been. I can highly recommend it if you want a relaxing and typical japanise experience. A true ryokan.
