  We loved everything about La Quercia Di Mamre -- especially the staff. The proprietor and his son were very warm, friendly and helpful. The facility was very clean and centrally located -- easy walk to the Vatican. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back as well as recommend it to others. - Very clean, staff friendly, but spoke... vad folk säger » little English.   Good value for the cost. Owner was very pleasant and helpful. Proximity to the Stazione Termini for a quick departure to the airport was wonderful. Had Rome maps available for guests. Great suggestion for a traditional Italian dinner at "Cusina Pepi" was a 2 minute walk away. Luggage storage available after check out. Self serve breakfast was... vad folk säger » available. Location is excellent--only 2 blocks from Ottaviano station on the b line, surrounded by many buses, has many great restaurants nearby, and is only a 10-minute walk to Vatican City.   It was excellent for the money. They had free parking and were helpful in explaining how to get around the city. Its your typical cheaper hotel, but no bad surprises except it was very dirty in the hallways and stairs. The room was good and had a nice balcony. And the wifi worked. - Breakfast is good. The historic center is about 15 minutes by bus and then 25 on the metro. Bus stop near the hotel.
