  The owner, Philomena, greeted us warmly and showed us to our rooms which were clean, comfortable and with new on-suite. We used the comfotable lounge area and were provided with wine glasses and plates for snacks that we'd brought with us. In the morning our full Irish breakfast was delicious. - The cottage has an old world charm, is very well maintained, clean, warm and all our needs were met by the proprietor. We cannot praise Acorn Cottage enough and would look no further when again staying in the area. The hospitality provided and the breakfasts cooked were above standard both in quality and the range of foods made available.

  As soon as we arrived my fiance and I were made to feel so welcome. We didn't arrive until about 7 in the evening and Eileen made us tea and cake and sat down in the living room for a chat with us. She was so friendly and it made us feel like we were visiting an aunt as opposed to staying in a B&B. We stayed in a family room (as the other do... vad folk säger » uble rooms had been booked out) it had a clean en-suite and there was a cot, a double bed and two single beds which is perfect for a family. In a gre - Very nice quiet location. Clean rooms. Eileen our host was especially welcoming and delightful. We felt right at home and appreciated getting to know her. We were treated like family!!! We shared coffee and conversation as well. Eileen was especially accommodating with a later breakfast time for our convenience.

  The owner Michael was an absolute legend could not have made us more welcome, offered us a lift to town instead of getting a taxi (to lazy to walk), made us a fantastic breakfast the next morning which did us until dinner that night and was just good Craic had plenty of story's to tell.   Stayed two nights Very helpful young woman looked after us & recommended the excellent Spa Seafoods Restaurant just a few minutes drive away on the Fenit road Only criticism is that for a purpose built B&B sound-proofing was inadequate as noise from the room/s above carried through very clearly Good breakfast and plenty of parking space. -... vad folk säger » My sisters and I stayed at the Killarney House B&B while attending a wedding nearby. The accommodation was lovely - very spacious, comfortable & clean; and the host was so kind and helpful. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to spend some time in the area.
