  We've never stayed here before but we enjoyed our stay so much we are definitely going back next year!! All of the staff were lovely but Ella and Steve in the Bar really stood out! The food was superb, the hotel has a lovely old-time charm about it in fact it was faboulous! - We had four days of peace and tranquility at this hotel.   We travelled to Ennis for the Fleadh Nua music festival on a budget and found the hostel to be just what we wanted. We took a family room with en-suite shower room for a week. Clean, comfortable, the staff were all friendly and helpful. The cooking facilities were well laid out and kept scrupulously clean despite the number of people passing thr... vad folk säger » ough. The hostel is situated just on the edge of the town centre so close to everything you want to see and close to music sessions but still quiet e - The room was very decent, the common areas were warm and friendly and the kitchen was spacious and very well equipped. Breakfasts were fairly plain (cereal and milk, toast, butter, jam, tea/coffee, orange juice and scones were offered) but plentiful and completely sufficient for our needs. The internet connection was excellent on the ground floor. The staff was extremely helpful and nice, and the location very scenic. Overall, I would recommend this to anyone on a budget and looking for a pleas

  Very welcoming, friendly, thoughtful and caring staff. Comfortable bed with blankets and radiator with thermostatic valve so that I could adjust the temperature, working en-suite shower, museli, wholemeal soda bread or toast, cold meat and cheese, fruit etc for breakfast which was just fine for me. Ennis is a great centre for traditional Irish mus... vad folk säger » ic, which was sublime at times. There are cafes and restaurants locally - I love how central the Banner Lodge is. It makes the weekend so much cheaper when your not paying for taxis. The rates are very good aswel, they are extremely reasonable. I stayed in the banner lodge for the first time in June, I liked it so much that when I was booking a hotel for September up there I didn't even look at other hotels.

  Very friendly and helpful staff, (Thanks to the manager for directions to the hairdresser ...much appreciated !) leisure facilities impressive, great value overall - everything and we will return. We liked very much the athmosphere in Ennis town also which will influence our desire to return
