  The location was perfect. Nice home-feeling place to stay with a family. The lady of the house was extremely helpful and kind: she ordered us a tour plus a taxi to the airport since we wanted to save a bit time due to our early morning flight.   Amazed to have easy on-street parking right in front of the hotel each night. Enjoyed the art! Our young waiter (from the Netherlands) was so p - I've been once before and choosing a Hotel for my wife's 60th birthday remembered Hotel Holt for its atmosphere, its wonderful collection of paintings and its excellent food. Of course it is also within walking distance of everywhere you want to go. The hotel fully lived up to my recollections and went down very well with my artistic wife.

  This apartment is perfectly placed at the end of the main shopping street in Reykjavik, however we were not troubled by noise at all. It is very clean and modern and with everything you could need for a city break (fully stocked kitchen, washing machine with drier & comfy living area) The apartment is beautifully decorated. The apartment was very spacious for a group of three friends and it was tastefully decorated. We had more than the facilities that we needed as our homebase in Iceland. We were happy to find a washing machine in our apartment. The location is very good because it's at the street towards the main commercial area of Laugavegur. Parking was also available but on a first come first served basis. It made our trip to Iceland comfortable.

Riklig utrustning. - The apartments were spacious by European standards and they were ideally located near City Center. They were cleaned daily and everything worked reasonably well. The Kitchen was European small but well furnished. The bedrooms were large and had 4 twin beds, combining into 2 Queens. We were making a first visit to the University. Innkeeper Thorri was very helpful and kind. As we walked around Reykjavik, we never saw a better value for this level of amenities and character. We love staying in historic and cultured homes like Gastafell. The 1 bedroom apartment was fully equipped and in a wonderful quiet location but literally minutes from everything. Breakfast was excellent.
