  This place is somewhere to stay if you are arriving at the bus station after the metro closes for the night, an easy walking distance. Hosts are nice, helped with my bags. Its not great by backpacker/budget accom standards- below average. Other reviews are saying this place is cheap- it is not cheap for Budapest- head into the city if you can and ... vad folk säger » pay less than half for a better location, better standard & facilites & location. - Location was good for me, because I arrived by bus and travelled further also by bus. It's close to the bus station, but not close to the centre. It's a park nearby, but on the whole the area is not really picturesque.

  Mandy Hostel is one big appartment with four nice furnished bedrooms and three toilets. In the appartment you can also find well equiped kitchen with all necessary things which are free to use. It is running by family which was very pleasant and helpfull. They even drove me to the train station when I left the appartment to continue my journey to... vad folk säger » Prague. I would recommend this appartment to every person that is travelling to Budapest seeking for this type of accomodation. - Hostel is really good, located close to city center. The owner of it waited for me to come there, she told me what to see in the city and how to get there. Hostel is a flat with several rooms, at that time I was the only person staying there so basically all aparment was mine, no one bothered me. Everything there is clean, they even give towel and leave maps to get around the city. Loved the hostel, if I would be in Budapest once again, I woul book it again.

  The rooms were big and cosy, more than enough space for the clothes and luggage, there is a kitchen with fridges where we were able to prepare some food and have our meals. Furniture new, it was not dirty, the bathroom and wc are separate. We were able to have a nice and peaceful rest, no noise, people at the reception were very polite and effecti... vad folk säger » ve. More than what we expected for this price. - We booked a two person room without a shower and got three bed room with a bathroom, WC and a kitchenette! This is basically a campus dormitory turned into hostel for the summer - which is good, people who live there care for their rooms, nothing is broken. I liked the staff, especially the cynical girl who received us at night. In general, we had a very nice experience.

  For this money is very good. We must understand(for some previus commentators), this is just cheap slip option and not Ritz or hilton(for those you must pay a lot of money). The guy from Serbia was very nice and kind(also spoke a lot of lauguages). Iztok from SLO - i ve liked the welcome of GYULA and DORKA, SUPER!!!!! Good room simply and cheap!... vad folk säger » !!!   * The owner is very patient, nice, friendly, who can speak very well English. You almost can get all travel informaiton from him. He made my trip in Budapest very easily. * very good location, almost next to the train station, and very easy to go to the big shopping mall. * very good price. * One toilet has a radio, you can have music while... vad folk säger » you were using it. * free wifi, very easy to access. * You can use the shared kitchen. - The gentleman in charge of the hostel (Szilard) was extremely helpful and friendly. He went out of his way to explain the map of the city to us, pointing out what sights to see, what to avoid, what times of day to visit etc. He was a mine of information and made us feel very much at home. Having some inside information and guidance on the city really helped us to get the most from our journey. Thanks Again Szilard!
