  The beach, which is really wonderful (clear water, mix of sand & pebbles) is directly in front of the accomodation. As the beach is never overcrowded, there are always enough sun beds available for free during the whole day. The rooms have a marvellous view over the sea, are spacious and functionally furnished (TV, free Wi-fi, fridge,...) and ... vad folk säger » are very clean (room service was done twice a week, which is really enough). The accomodation owns also a tavern, where you can get greek food, coffee - The location directly on the beach and the very nice seaview from the room. The place is also very quiet.

  We loved staying at the Elounda Sunrise. The location was perfect and just a short walk into Elounda. Can't say enough good things about the Yannis, Dimos and the entire staff. Always close by and willing to help out. Lynn was behind the bar with a smile on her face and a "can do" attitude". Had several meals with them as well and the portion... vad folk säger » s were more than generous and the food was excellent. They even put on a special BBQ with Salsa dancing for the guests. Can't wait to return to Elou - Everything. Seldom have we stayed at such good accommodation. Great staff. Friendly and helpful. Nothing too much trouble. Warm welcome. Good food in fact probably the best pizza I have ever tasted-the Greek pizza. V goog location.

  Hotel Sifis We stayed at the hotel Sifis which is the very first hotel as you drop off from the ferry. The views from the room balcony are just stunning. This is not trying to be a five star hotel as the bedrooms are typical Cretan basic, and clean, but the warmth and hospitality from owner Christina definitely is worthy of seven stars. The hotel is very much a family affair and the history of past generation is clear from all the photographs and decorations in the bar area.The rooms are basic but clean and have excellent uninterupted views of the bay exactly as I had hoped. We enjoyed the atmosphere of the resort which had plenty of Greek families holidaying from other areas of Crete. Sweet water bay was wonderful walk from Loutro and George's beach

  Excellent location, in the village, but very quiet and calm. The house is well furnished and there is plenty of space. We loved the fantastic roof terrace with sea view, perfect to enjoy the sun and the stars at night. A very good price for what is offered. The landlady is helpful and very kind.   This, as someone in the guestbook wrote, is the kind of place where you arrive as guests and leave as friends. It is just terrific. All the nice things written by others are true. And yes, there are mosquitoes, but we won't be subtracting points for that. It is not that Steph put them there herself to annoy her guests anyway. If wondering where to eat at night, turn right after leaving Marika, walk dow - Marika's is a find. It is a relatively old development of nine studios and appartments undergoing gradual refurbishment. So the rooms are much bigger than average. The location in Exopoli at the top of the hill behind Georgioupoli affords terrific panoramic views. The pool is big and 2.4m deep with a diving board - rare in newer places. Homely atmosphere.
