  We liked the hotel so much, that we could easily recommend it to our friends. It is very quite and green place, aproximately 10 minutes walk from the sea. The beach is great in Malia. The staff was very friendly and helpful.   Very attractive hotel/apartment block located midway between town and the beach, so quiet and yet convenient. Nice pool (though surprisingly cold after a long, hot summer) and outdoor breakfast/lunch area. Staff very friendly and helpful - they even upgraded us to a 2 bed apartment overlooking the pool at no extra cost - because it was available! ... vad folk säger » We understand that Malia can be pretty frenetic in mid summer, but Mid- September was just great and we loved the sandy beach and the Old Town - espec - Socrates is a lovely hotel. Very friendly owners, Eva and George. Absolutely perfect pool area, with comfortable sunbeds and a wonderful garden. We got clean towels every day and the room was perfectly cleaned. It was about 200 m to the bus stop (32) to Hersonissos and to the beach 200-250 M. The hotel is perfectly situated in the countryside quiet yet central. I would definitely go back. And the transfer service I great. (A family with 16 and 9 year old kids)

  Very good location , very nice , friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is in the heart of Malia and just 2 minuts walking to beach. Lots of bars , restaurants and night clubs are close to this hotel. The small bar of the hotel serve people till late which is very useful. If you have got a restricted budget , I strongly recommend it. - The hotel is a Managed by sweet family, smiling and courteous, helping with any questions ..   The room was of high standard, everything new and stylish. Nice, deep pool and view to the mountains. The hotel is run by an extremely friendly family, the nicest people we met on Crete :) we enjoyed ourselves very much.   A very pleasant stay in a nice hotel, located in one of the most convenient locations in Malia. Although family run, the hotel staff is very discrete and friendly. Not to forget about the vegetarian doggy called Pretty, which is so funny. Beautifull place, with nice design. Close to everything. Not noisy and it is very important in Malia! And you really feel like you are in holiday at home, thank you Marina and her family for this sensation. Also you can find there the best Greek salad I've ever eaten. I really recommend this hotel especially if you are the family with the children, and I hope to come back as soon as possible!!!

  We are a not so young couple traveling around Crete on our vacation. This a small nice family run hotel located inside the village of Malia. We liked that the hotel is very close to all the venues in the village. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. They make you fell that you are part of the family.   First of all, a very big thank you to the proprietors Parthenis and Elena. I stayed one week at the Parthenis Beach and it is just a fantastic place to relax. Their warm welcome and hospitality is very much appreciated. They want you to feel "at home". The hotel is extremely well situated; next to the private beach.
