  The Shanshui has a perfect location , as it is right on the doorstep of Xidan's Shopping Malls .. The staff @ the hotel are extremely limited in they English ( even the Concierge only spoke very few words ) but as we were out there to visit the Fam , we didn't need to engage in conversation with the members of staff - who in all fairness were most... vad folk säger » friendly especially the maids .. If you have plans of staying @ the Shanshui , let me inform you of some construction work that is currently on-going - the location of the hotel is very good because it is very close to shopping mall and subway station.

  I was in Beijing for a business trip for five days and stayed at this hotel. The location is very good there are some good restaurants in the area in walking distance but anyway the Taxi's are so cheap so no worries.. So other reviewers complaint about non English speaking staff.. Indeed there re some but if you count that they have about 10 recep... vad folk säger » tionists (!!!) you must be very unlucky that you don't find at least one to communicate.. Just start speak them in English and the door behind will op - Its my sixth stay at this hotel for business trip and i will be back. They now have a brand new Gym which makes it even nicer. The location is great and they have a minivan that takes you to the MTR in the morning. The Great Room where they serve breakfast is bright, full of sunshine in the morning. Quality of the food is good and its open till 10 pm.

  Room 7008 was brilliant - more like a suite. 2 plasma's/2 ensuites, great for the 3 of us. Would recommend the Trip Advisor at the Hotel, they were excellent. (booked tickets for us for Great Wall/Kung Fu/Bullet train - Breakfast was great! Room was clean and very comfortable. The bed was softer than most other hotels we have stayed at.

  Staff is very kind - one of our young guests (11-years boy) forgot his passport in hotel and we were very happy when we called hotel 6 hours later and were informed that his passport was found and now we can get it - and so we did immediately, our flight was not cancelled. We are very thankful to hotel staff fot this kindness and help !!! - Good ... vad folk säger » service at reception. As we requested non smoking room, we got upgraded to an executive level room. Good size of big bedroom and living room. Also the swimming pool is fantastic with a big pool. Will definitely come back next time

  We stayed in a double room with Ensuite. The room was spacious, the bed large and the bathroom had a good shower with plenty of hot water. Decoration was to a high standard and the hostel was very clean. Staff were helpful and friendly. Reasonable prices at the bar. Extremely close to the metro - though it is still hard to find - left from exit d ... vad folk säger » and turn all the way around, it has a uhotel sign. Decent wifi - It is just next to the Dongxi Station exit for line 5 & line 6. A supermarket nearby, and walk a bit to the lane, you can find some nice restaurant to have cheap local Beijing Food. Safe even I was back from HuTong around 11.30pm. Staff are nice to offer help, as I was depart on a rainy day, with materials I have to protect for client meeting. They offered me a big plastic bag to protect my stuff.
