  The Shanshui has a perfect location , as it is right on the doorstep of Xidan's Shopping Malls ..   I was in Beijing for a business trip for five days and stayed at this hotel. The location is very good there are some good restaurants in the area in walking distance but anyway the Taxi's are so cheap so no worries.. So other reviewers complaint about non English speaking staff.. Indeed there re some but if you count that they have about 10 recep... mitä ihmiset sanovat » tionists (!!!) you must be very unlucky that you don't find at least one to communicate.. Just start speak them in English and the door behind will op - Its my sixth stay at this hotel for business trip and i will be back. They now have a brand new Gym which makes it even nicer. The location is great and they have a minivan that takes you to the MTR in the morning. The Great Room where they serve breakfast is bright, full of sunshine in the morning. Quality of the food is good and its open till 10 pm.

  Room 7008 was brilliant - more like a suite. 2 plasma's/2 ensuites, great for the 3 of us. Would recommend the Trip Advisor at the Hotel, they were excellent. (booked tickets for us for Great Wall/Kung Fu/Bullet train - Breakfast was great! Room was clean and very comfortable. The bed was softer than most other hotels we have stayed at.

  Staff is very kind - one of our young guests (11-years boy) forgot his passport in hotel and we were very happy when we called hotel 6 hours later and were informed that his passport was found and now we can get it - and so we did immediately, our flight was not cancelled.   We stayed in a double room with Ensuite. The room was spacious, the bed large and the bathroom had a good shower with plenty of hot water. Decoration was to a high standard and the hostel was very clean. Staff were helpful and friendly. Reasonable prices at the bar. Decent wifi - It is just next to the Dongxi Station exit for line 5 & line 6. A supermarket nearby, and walk a bit to the lane, you can find some nice restaurant to have cheap local Beijing Food. Safe even I was back from HuTong around 11.30pm. Staff are nice to offer help, as I was depart on a rainy day, with materials I have to protect for client meeting. They offered me a big plastic bag to protect my stuff.
