Salzburg Hotell

Located out of town near to the railway station, initially thought the walk to town was too far every day however soon found quicker route through the gardens to the river and over the bridge. Turn right at the congress building and keep right, good short cut. Very enjoyable weeks stay, breakfast good, plenty to choose from and the staff helpful. The rooms good, beds very comfortable and hotel very quiet even though it was full while we were there. Travelled to Munich on the train for the day, v - Christopher

We had no trouble finding the hotel, and were upgraded to the President's suite upon check-in. We were astounded!! The room was gorgeous - great walk-in closet - large dining room, den/tv area and bar/desk. The bathroom was huge!! Staff treated us as if they were determined to get a perfect rating, and they more than succeeded!! Parking was convenient and safe, but we did have to pay 8 Euros. Unfortunately, no breakfast included, but were very near a McDonalds and Burger King (at the train stati - David

Excellent location right on the edge of the pedestrian area. Breakfast very good and included in cost of room. Room adequate - small, with small bathroom, but perfectly acceptable for a short break for myself and my daughter. Excellent base for sightseeing in fabulous weather. Five minute walk to the river and across to the Old Town. Would return again and definitely recommend to others. - John

We spent two nights here after the Munich Beer Festival - it was easily found after a 20 minute walk from the train station. The building is nothing fancy, but the reception from the staff was very welcoming. Our room was basic, but clean and tidy with a programmable safe for passports and a fridge (pre-stocked) that we could squeeze a few extras into. We had a room just around the corner from the main road, which could be heard but didn't disturb a sound nights sleep. Breakfast was a typical - Michael

hotel is in a good location- not too close to the town but a great bus service on the road outside the hotel- one bus goes direct to airport. The hotel room was quiet and the room was a good size. Tea making facilitie provided and topped up each day, free tv and, good sized bathroom and plenty of storage- we stayed on floor 3. breakfast was good- lots of breads, rolls, fruit salad, yoghurts, cheeses, meats etc and a nice beer garden to drink in at the end of the night- did not eat in res - Arnold

My husband and I stayed here for a couple of nights and were very pleased overall with the hotel. The location was fantastic - walking distance to everything with restaurants and bars and shopping in the same block. The view from our room was also wonderful - we overlooked the river. The room itself was VERY large, the bathroom was HUGE! Not your typical European accommodations from a size perspective. The only complaint we had was that we were located next to a bar and the noise was pretty bad - Julie

This is the best hotel to stay in when visiting Salzburg. From your arrival at the front door to your departure, the staff could not be more helpful and professional. We felt like royalty for a couple of days. Our room was a junior suite which was beautiful with the most magnificent views of old Salzburg (plus, air conditioning working as it should (if needed)-even though it was September). stayed at the bristol for 12 nights; had a junior suite which really was a junior suite with 8 windows consisting of a bedroom, livingroom sitting room and hallway. fabulous views of salzburg from my windows plus an excellent buffet breakfast included in the rate made this junior suite a bargain. i had all my dinners at the hotel and never got sick (i have a bad stomach and have to be careful. the food was excellent and well prepared. the bristol is one of the finest hotels i have every stayed a - John

I reserved our room for 3 nights at a rock-bottom price, but was surprised to find we had a spacious well appointed room with king bed and great bathroom. The in house restuarants were good, especially the keller, which served wonderful schnitzel and great value prices. The location was ideal, on the tour bus routes, close to all attractions and restaurants. The staff were helpful and everything went just fine - now that's unusual!
