  We were travelling with teenage daughters and we all appreciated the family unit that had two bedrooms and very spacious bathroom. The breakfast room was lovely and the selection of food was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful.   Hotel Krone 1512 is conveniently located in the center of the city, in a street (LinzerGasse) closed to traffic. All attractions and historical places are within reach of walking. I (62) and my wife Saliha (54) made a 24-hour visit to Salzburg on our way from Munich to Vienna based on the advise of our son who has been a student in Munich Technica... vad folk säger » l University. We made this trip by train through the lovely countryside. It was very easy to locate the LinzerGasse and the Hotel from the Bahnhof. Th - We loved everything about this hotel. The location was superb (1-1/2km to train station and walking distance to old town Salzburg), the street (Linzergasse) was pretty and vibrant, the hotel was clean and very comfortable, and the service was excellent! If you love to stick your head out the window and see what's going on in the street below, ask for a room facing the front (fun!). There are also lovely quiet rooms facing the back. The manager was extremely helpful with advice and suggestions

  The incredibly friendly lady who ran the place (sorry can't remember her name!). She couldn't do enough for us and she made our stay very enjoyable. The location was good, not right in Salzburg so you needed to take public transport to get in and out, but bus 4 runs right in and the stop is only a 2-3 minute walk from the hotel. The hotel is located at a very convenient region, where Mirabell is reachable in 10 min by bus, bank and super market are in 5 min walking distance. The room is decorated in a comfortable home style. Facilities are good and handy, with a fully equipped kitchen. The boss is really nice and helpful.
