the staff were very friendly and ALWAYS said aloha every time they passed. The pool and gym were wonderful and we used them every day. I liked having the Kings and Queens market close by as we had a choice of eating establishments. the beach was protected and great for water sports. Down the beach was the Lava Lava Bar - we ate their quite a few

The beach was very nice. Our room would have been perfect if we'd
had a full ocean view instead of a partial because of a tree.
The gym is nice and clean.
The concierge was helpful but be warned, it is run by Expedia so no Kama'aina rates.
The nearby markets were convenient and a good option if you don't want to eat at the hotel. Several good restaurants as well as a food court are available.

Forget the reviews about how it takes a long time to get anywhere - plot courses of shortest distances on the map they give you and only use tram / boat for novelty. Awesome bridges and islands around lagoon tend to be shortest route(s).

The place is beautiful! It really is quite impressive. Lots of things to
do. You really don't ever even have to leave the resort. But if you
want to one of my favorite beaches Hapuna is right up the road. I also
really liked the products they had in their bathroom so much so I bought
some to take home with me.

It's an older resort but that is not a problem at all. Fabulous
resort facilities, very clean and comfortable room (partial ocean view)
with great service. You can't swim in the ocean directly from the
hotel but it is such a dramatic location as the resort is positioned
directly on lava rock. Views of the ocean are stunning. Watching the

Beautiful location, spent the most of my time at the resort because it was so beautiful and relaxing. Amazing pool to sit back with a Mai Tai and watch the sunset. Watched the manta rays feeding and ate delicious 'spider shrimp' at Rays on the Bay. Would definitely recommend to others and would stay there again myself

Loved the Hawaiian atmosphere, the architecture of the buildings, the music, the vegetation, the sounds of the birds and the Hawaiian quilts on the bed. -

The staff was really helpful when the door keys they gave us did not work and sent up someone who had to go and get special equipment to clear out the lock so it would take the key. This was just a I have just got off the airplane late at night and am leaving for elsewhere the next morning destination so we did not look to see anything in the area

Lovely location, with both pool and beach. Lots of shopping, and food
variety within easy walking distance. Extreemly friendly staff.
Accomodated us well the last day, with parking and beach towels, as our
plane was very late to leave.

The hotel was nice. It was very fitting to the small country feel in Hilo. Jade was so nice and very prompt with having stuff out for breakfast in the morning. The view was amazing! -
Jade was super friendly and really made us feel welcome!

Our stay at the Honu Kai B&B was fantastic: A wonderful location (great garden and beautiful and very clean rooms), furious tasting breakfast, many great tips/guidance to explore, and - finally - exceedingly nice hosts making you feel like a family visit :-) We fully enjoyed our time there and hope coming back soon!

There were three bedrooms with very large beds. One of the bedrooms was a suite, very comfortable. The kitchen and living area were spacious and comfortable, the decoration was nice, everything was very clean, there were flowers and fruit waiting for us when we got there. Absolutely no hassle. And the surroundings were very quiet. We slept really well there.
