Surprisingly large room. Comfortable bed with choice of pillows. Beefeater restaurant had excellent quality food, good choices and excellent service. Overall good value. The bathroom was impeccably clean and the whole building looked well cared for. The countryside location would be very attractive in Spring and summer. Plenty of parking. -

The location is excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Slaughters Country Inn and the tranquil surroundings of what is a stunning village. The staff were very welcoming, very friendly and attentive throughout the stay. Our room, in the main building, had beautiful views over the rear garden and ponds. The hotel was nice and modern and we received a good welcome on our arrival. Good parking facilities and the bar was also a nice surprise! We walked into the town centre during the day (approx. 10 mins), however, a taxi was necessary during the evening. Very well situated, easy to find. Stafff were very pleasent and helpful. The beds in the twin room were very comfortable. The Bumble Bee pub next door was very convient and excellent food. - friendly staff and on noticing my wife has walking limitations they relocated us to the ground floor. Also the pub /restaurant next door very good.

We were absolutely delighted with everything about the Hotel. Room and en-suite facilities were very good. Food was excellent and staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. This hotel was advertised as a 3 star but it could be mistaken for a 5 star. The food in the 2 AA rosette restaurant was superb and quite reasonably priced, the staff were excellent could not help you enough their service made us feel very special, we stayed in the winter and it was very cosy having drinks in the lounge with a real log fire roaring
