The breakfast was delicious, a good selection of foods. I thought it was a overpriced. My partner only wanted a crossiants and coffee and had to pay the same price as me who dined on a delicious full english breakfast. - incredible charm and character about the place
- fantastic staff - so welcoming (they did the landlord's, who were away, proud)
- Food was amazing and you could tell it was cooked by people who cared about what they were dishing up
- breakfast was lovely too - put a lot of expensive hotels to shame (they key is Fresh stuff, which they had!!)

Food excellent as beer and wine overpriced but your at Sonning so you
pay.....room ok again price but Sonning.....Fullers can command these
prices...the bar was full with diners both nights ....so a good
enjoyable stay we stayed for 2 nights and hosted a lunch meal for 12
people...food superb, also the breakfasts are worth a mention as really
good.staff friendly and good atmosphere

Everything. I was very worried that only paying £35 a night I would endup somewhere sleazy. This hotel was lovely, the staff were so polite! Poached eggs at breakfast - any fool can cook a sauce but it takes a good chef to be able to cook poached eggs that are soft in the yolk and your chef hit the spot - please pass on congratulations to him. The staff was very helpful at all times and qute intuitive to the needs of the guests. The room was clean and comfortable. All this made it a pleasure to stay. - Very friendly staff, nice clean room. Very well priced Excellent food. Will stay again and will recommend to anyone staying in Reading

The hotel was CLASSY with a capital C, great design, layout 7 level of clenliness. Have travelled the world a great deal and this would rate as in my top five! - They have an excellent swimming pool, jacquzi, steam room and sauna which we enjoyed very much (plus a health spa which we didn't use).
