I booked the Hotel for a Special family get-together therefore having the bars and in particular the restaurant all under one roof meant that we could have a pre-dinner drink, change go to the restaurant and then have the use of a residents only bar afterwards meant there was something for everyone. The location of the hotel was convenient to where I had to be the next day for a conference. Every hotel has it's own personality but share a common set of standards and values... all very high. I like the wine list... Manchester had a special wine list which I would have liked to see in Newcastle. Young but not 'trendy'. The staff seem happy to be there!

Excellent service. Well looked after at Breakfast which was also excellent - The hotel is in a lovely area of Newcastle - the bed was very comfortable and we had a beautiful view from the bay window.

Everything!! The rooms are furnished to a very high standard and the bar and lounge are very comfortable. All the staff are professional, attentive and friendly. We experienced some difficulties with our booking but the managers could not have done more to rectify the situation. Will we stay there again - absolutely! -

very friendly and relaxed place and staff. Good breakfast too. - Nicely equipped room and very comfortable bed. Very good value for the price. Bar is lively, and a good outdoor terrace for us smokers. Helpful and courteous staff.

If there was an option to give the staff more than a 5 + rating then I would. Thouroughly enjoyed my long weekend here and the staff were remarkably helpful and pleasant. I would hope this gets back to them and they can be commended for this.

This is a really special hotel. We really loved the quirky modern design. Everything was top notch. The staff were super friendly. Because we were kept waiting for a few minutes when we were checking in we were sent to our room with a bottle of champagne. The room was large and bright and decor interesting. Good free wifi - the kitchenette and 2 TVs were an unexpected bonus. (Would love to come back when the strip fire all along the front window of the hotel is alight in the cold weather.)
