First of all, the location was extraordinary. The sea (Firth of Forth) is just behind the hotel and you wake up, seeing big steamships and small fisher boats on the water.

were spacious. The staff was very helpful. The views of the water were
beautiful and our family enjoyed walking along the quay. The breakfast
served at the restaurant next door was perfectly fine. We ate at the
nearby Prezzo for dinner. Although we had a car, we caught the bus at
the conveniently located stop directly across from the hotel. Definitely
the right decision given the traffic and apparent lack of parking. This

David and his staff are all very welcoming, we were there for the Edinburgh Moonwalk and David said he would cook for us Sunday morning if we were late back and missed breakfast and after 26.2 miles that was good to know even though we did get back in time.it was home from home. Location is excellent with loads of buses into the city centre but the local bars and restaurants in Leith offer a huge choice, plus the new shopping centre is only yards away from the front door of the hotel. It wasn't obvious that a buffet breakfast was included when I booked so this was a nice surprise too. The dog was welcome too, at no extra

I was lucky they had rooms available and for the same price as well. Its called Express By Holiday Inn City Center.

The place itself is only a ten min walk up leith walk to thw centre of town. The rooms are cosy and very clean. The shower is powerful which I love. Bed is very comfortable. There is free parking outside the door. We have stayed here a few times and find it ver pleasant. -

The Dene Guest House was the perfect choice. Perfect location, close to centre of town. Received a very warm welcome, lovely people running the bed and breakfast in a relaxed, efficient way, they couldn`t have been more helpful. My room was clean, comfortable and had all I needed, the house itself is a beautiful old Edinburgh town house. Fantastic breakfast and I look forward to staying again for my next great night out in the big Toun!
