The resort was very nice situated in a quit area.
The staff was very friendly and helpfull, they took the time to tell their guests about the area, local receipts/drinks and we felt very welcome.

Very nice place, at the beginning when we reserved we were a bit afraid that this place and his staff will be a bit snobbish, instead they are all very friendly and willing to help you and answer to any question you might have.
In the resort there are kind of bungalow and rooms, I guess depends on how many you are and on how much you pay.
The swimming pool is nice and the place is quite.

We traveled to Cala Gonone as a young couple and found Residence Biriola very easy to find. Upon arriving we were greeted by Bruno, the elder statesman of the residence, who was quite simply charming. He took us around, showed us the garden at the back and told us we could help ourselves to the fresh herbs and chillis. We had a wonderful stay at Villa Asfodeli. Starting with the staff who went out of their way to assist, secondly the rooms and facilities including the pool are beautiful. Thirdly, we explored the local area by bike which we rented from the hotel and were offered itineraries and delicious packed lunches.

Despite of its location, the hotel is trying hard to be posh and contemporary and somehow creates its ambient separate from the outside world. The staff we met were so friendly and acted on any requests promptly and efficiently. The hotel is within an easy 15 minute stroll of the village centre and yet remote from the hurly burly. Great Pool, extremely clean. Rooms clean and of good size and quality of daily maintenance of rooms and towel changes really good. The night reception staff member Giovanni was so welcoming after a really late arrival following a stressful journey.

The general quality of the accommodation was excellent, the gardens beautifully maintained and the location between town and beach perfect. Breakfast was generally good but even though most of the guests clearly came through a UK tour company, local cheese instead of processed packets would have been appreciated. Most guests seemed to thin it was perfect.
