The owners Gerald and Abbie live in the hostel and take extra care to keep a high standard of comfort, care and extra service. I prefer them over anything more ritzy but where the owner is never on site so you are neglected or just a number.

Country View Motor Inn was a pleasant surprise. We needed a place to stay on our way to Vancouver and this was convenient, comfortable and the staff were great! We used the pool and hot tub, went for a relaxing walk and went to a nearby pub for supper. -

The lodge is warm and inviting. We had two wonderful and well presented meals in the picturesque dining room. All the staff were just genuinely warm and friendly to us. It fitted in with our journey back to mainland vancouver as a one night stop over. This motel was better than a few we had stayed at over our 2wk vacation and we are glad that we got to see Chemainus town itself what a lovely town.Bed was comfy, fridge worked, tv great, tea and coffee machine worked. The Inn was beautifully appointed. The rooms were spacious, beds very comfortable, luxurious linens, bathrooms clean and sparkling with many thoughtful additions for all your needs. Staff went out of their way to make you comfortable. The outside decks front and back were so inviting. We plan to head back for a weekend in October. -
