Hambleden village is absolutely beautiful and is just 4 miles from Henley, so is convenient for either the quiet countryside or the more lively atmosphere of town. We received a warm welcome from Dan and the rest of the staff that we encountered on our one night stay. We booked a classic room and was allocated 'The Pit' which was a very pretty, clean and well presented room. Good pub food in the evening and an excellent breakfast with lots of choices. Highly recommended for some country style R&R!!

Excellent dinner and lunch. The food was piping hot, which was much appreciated and the lunch menu was adjusted to meet our personal choices and was all we could wish for. We met some Canadian cousins for the first time and it was a wonderful spot to meet up for lunch on the side of the Thames with them. The owner is really fantastic with little ones. He took our 4 month old and turned his mood around (he was getting bored and grumpy..) so he was happy and entertained during our evening meal – meaning we were actually able to eat our dinner.. The locals in the pub were very friendly also. Lovely food, clean rooms, and charming decor. Highly recommended all round!
