Chose this hotel because of proximity to new Arena - it's just a few minutes walk away.
It's more a city pub with rooms.
Handy for shopping, theatres and eating out.
Staff were efficient and friendly. Room was clean and comfortable.
We enjoyed our overnight stay for the Elton John concert.
Right by the Leeds arena, room was large and clean. If on a shopping trip it was right in the middle of Leeds. Staff were superb, really helpful, carried our bags and even came with us to a nearby car park to show us the way. We will definately book again.todos opiniões »
was worried when i read reviews however we booked three double rooms and they were all clean, the decor was fine and the facilities good. very good location for Arena and Leeds Centre. would stay again. The bar had a lovely friendly atmosphere.
A good central hotel if you're not looking for anything too fancy and just a place to rest your head after a night out in Leeds! Great location and clean, and has a nice cosy bar.
freindly helpful staff
Good location
nice rooms
reasonably priced, particularly for solo traveller
Decoration good and currently being redecorated.
The recent decor. Andrew was really welcoming.plenty of towels. Lowest price room I could find in Leeds. Closeness to shops.
That the guy at the reception called us to see where we were as it was late and we got lost trying tofind the place.
The room, facilities and location. Also the informality of the access and booking out arrangements were refreshing.
Perfect location as we were attending the Grand Theater in Leeds.
Comfortable, clean and spacious room.
This hotel is in a good location and is comfortable. There are all that you can need for short trip.
Good price. Great for shopping & very handy for The Grand Theatre. Shower in room was good.
Staff all excellent nothing too much trouble. Location for arena & theatre superb.
Fantasic for the night life around the hotel, and good fish and chips over the road.

It was a cheap hotel and the room was pretty good.
good real ale, location, parking outside cheap.
Friendly staff, clean rooms value for money.
The Wrens hotel got very long history.
hotel and staff very nice and helpfull.
very friendly staff & very clean.
Staff excellent.
The location close to the Leeds Arena, a short stroll down to Briggate and the centre of Leeds.
Also it is good because you get 15% off your drink price in a very well stocked bar if going to Leeds Arena, on production of said ticket.
The staff were helpful as well.
The hotel is in a good location for nightlife, shopping and is 5 minutes from Leeds arena. The rooms were clean and the hotel bar is a good place to enjoy a drink and a bite to eat before venturing out. Staff were friendly.
Staff friendly, we were staying there because we were going to a concert at the First Direct Arena. The Wren Hotel made the most of the concert and it made a good atmosphere in the bar area.
Near to all shops...5 min walk to the new arena which is why we booked there (as didnt really know leeds but found it all easy) 10 min walk from train station.
Comfortable, clean, very friendly staff. Room was very stylish, although small. Lighting was lovely, especially in the bathroom.
Resteraunt,staff,
location.
Would recommend and will return.
PS parking not bad either.
it was in a good position near the train station and close to stores etc .
Staff were lovely very helpfull close to shops and parking.
Location is central for a visit to Leeds. Room was clean and bed was
comfortable.
City centre location - so expect street noise through till 04:00.
Pub down stairs and good location that's it!
Staff friendly!.
Recently refurbished rooms.
Close to the city centre.
staff were brilliant.
location.
I was very upset with the hotel it was dirty used toilet roll holder on bathroom floor dust everywhere no DVD as discribed the notice outsit was terrible no sleep no one there to complain to even in the morning would never stay there again.
the location was good with good parking.
Room had a connecting door to next room which wasn't soundproof.
Bed was a little uncomfortable for older bones.
Not really the fault of the hotel but we were in what seemed to be an adjoining room, and the guests next door were very noisy. This was room two.
Also, this didn't affect our group but this hotel wouldn't be suitable for elderly or those with mobility issues as all the rooms are located up stairs over a couple of floors, and if you arrive back in after 1.00am, you have to use the back entrance which is located at the fire escape steps.
does not offer breakfast.
Level of notice. Expected it till one am from the bar but no double glazing so hardly slept. Night club went. On till four am. Then the street cleaners at five. Workmen started drilling at seven in the morning on a Sunday. Would of loved to have stayed on the week but traffic noise bad from our room as main town centre road just outside the window.
The pub/club directly across the road played loud music until 4am, which meant the thudding bass kept me from sleeping until then.
Had to enter the hotel after 11pm via the back gate and up the metal
fire escape, as it had snowed heavily that weekend and icy and slippery
I would have expected these steps to be cleared of snow but they were
not so had to use them very carefully. A couple of repairs need doing in
the room, the shower holder was broken, a handle missing on the wardrobe
and the tie-back hook for the curtain fell out.
Rooms could most certainly benefit from some redecoration. Would be nice if breakfast was an option with the room.
Noisy guests on fire escape early in morning (7-15am) & could hear every word through adjoining door on rooms 2 & 3 !!!!.
The room we stayed in was opposite BED nightclub so you could here that throughout the night but the window's were open as it was so warm, if they were shut i'm sure you wouldn't hear as much.
The room we stayed in was dated and the bathroom was very small.
Bed was uncomfortable could do with a better mattress.
Big gap under adjoining door into next room ....got to know the occupants of that room very well !!.
Entrance via a fire escape after bar is shut !.
I arrived at 1 am and the hotel was locked. I didn't tell them in advance but I found someone from the hotel in a bar just down the street.
So... if you can't get in, check the street nearby. And please do buy the bouncer there a beer from me! ;).
noise!.
Location in city centre noisy traffic rooms need double glazing.
N/A.
very noisy on sat night loud music untll 01.30 could not sleep not elderly hotel.
On arrival to ro there was a carlin beer can on window ledge.
We couldnt sleep all night because there was music everywhere. You shouldnt go without earplugs!!!.
The rear gate (only way in after 23:00) was almost impossible to open, and a few groups had difficulty getting in.
No shaving point in the bathroom. Plus the sliding panel in the shower wasn't properly connected.
Wifi didn't work in the room at all.
The noise through the night however if you are there for a boozy night this won't affect. The bed in our room was very hard but depends what you prefer. Me and the wife checked out early and there was nobody about so had to post keys through letterbox.
Rooms a bit tatty, but generally clean.
Not very modern and quite dated as an old building.....Basic but adequate for 1 night.
WiFi didn't work in rooms!!! That was such a disappointment, I had to sit on the stairs, in everyones way, to get any internet. Shower was more of a trickle. Far too noisy and no double glazing.
Room 1 minor details, no bedside lamp,no double glazing, poor curtain fittings, shaving lamp not working,no phone.
it didnt cater for breakfasts and the room was quite cold . the windoes were rattling all night too . also the stairs very steep and narrow .
Beds were awful springs sticking in us and it was the noisiest location drunks taxis shouting etc until 4am.
Location is central Leeds and hence it is noisey. The hotel is a pub
which plays music until 1:30am and then there is a nighclub across the
road which goes on even longer. Shower was rubbish a little dribble and
it makes a really worrying noise. After hours (and if you leave before
11am) you have to go out the fire exit and shimmy round the bins.
Stair access a bit restrictive - bathroom was very cold (window pane cracked ) & mould on wall - have to let yourself in the fire escape stairs/door after midnight (no concierge or pub staff on site once pub is closed) - remember you are above a busy city centre pub so WYSIWYG.
Mucky rooms! Found a old sock on floor next t bed! Mouldy windows! Ok for the money but dirty! Dust down sides of bed! Ok for just getting your head down nice staff!.
poor quality windows meant extremely loud nightclub next door kept you awake until 4am.
No drinks after hours for residents. Using a metal fire escape as exit/entry point on to a dubious looking alleyway.
I didnt sleep due to the noise from clubbers.
very noisy at all times day and night.needs double glazing.
the room needs double glazing because the noise from outside never ends also the music from the bar went on until 12.30am .The bathroom widow was open and you could not close it with only a towel rail to heat the room. And when you left next morning you had to go out through a back gate not very safe .Will not use again.
Room dirty noise outside till 3 then woke at 5.45 with noise again no one to complain to total tip off.
Twin beds? dirty windows , no double glazing, no milk in the room for tea or coffee, few power points hardly any toilet roll, wardrobe split and rickety.
