We had a room which backed onto the Tennis court with a sitting out area which was great. My husband sat out there with a drink and was visited by a flock of friendly sparrow, two large rabbits, a family of quail, several gulls and two ducks who eventually followed him back into our room! Great location just outside the main town being an easy and pleasant 10 minute walk along the beach front. Good size room with a deck and then nicely maintained gardens and lawns with a clear view across the bay towards Russell. Peaceful (but see the -ve). We found it good value for a clean, comfortable room with a nice view.

Welcomed with fresh muffins from really nice hosts. Our cottage was right next door to hosts house yet it was private, clean and had every thing we needed to make our stay comfortable. Great place for our break away weekend. Easy access to a variety of attractions, Paihia,Kerikeri etc.

We booked this hotel on the basis of the letsbookhotel.com reviews and weren't disappointed. All of the staff we encountered were just brilliant. Even the housekeeping staff we cornered to ask for more plunger coffee, nothing was too much trouble. Our room (the king loft) was perfect. Breakfast was a steal at $18 each and very yummy. Two stand-out features: (1) Without exception all staff encountered seemed eager to do everything they could to make our stay rewarding. (2) the room layout was the best we encountered in over 2 weeks travel in NZ. It had all of the things we needed, especially space, and none of the things (kitchen etc) we didn't need.

loved the roominess of the apartment - ideal when travelling with a toddler who likes to run around. Also loved the separate bedrooms and full kitchen. Really loved being greeted with a free beer or softdrink, and free wifi. Also the added mile Paul went to pay our toll for us - saved us having to stop if the baby was asleep. Thank you Paul. Great location within easy walk to everything, and great recommendation about meals at the RSA.

Waiora Apartments was set in a lovely peaceful bush setting, lovely timber with lovely bed upstairs, clean and tidy. Downstairs was okay but only for sleeping really not a space you would want to have to stay in for a long time. I loved the calm and peaceful feeling of this place.

Very quiet (although we did have a unit away from the road). Very clean
and tidy, good facilities, welcoming host. All good. Its near the treaty
grounds in one direction and the shops/cafes in the other. But
mostly I just love that they found my tablet charger before I even knew
