  Torre Sangiovanni is a lovely, perfect place to stay and enjoy fine dining. I felt like a "Princess in my Castle". I was traveling alone, stayed for five nights and enjoyed phenomenal food each night. The menu is large and varied plus there is a nice wine list. Breakfast was delightful with wonderful pastries, eggs, meats and cheeses, cereal, etc.... o que as pessoas dizem » Torre Sangiovanni is very central for exploring the area; Todi, Orvieto, Civita di Bagnoregio (the proprietor's suggestion), Siena, Assisi, Montefalc - Beautiful, spacious and comfortable furnished accommodation in a medieval building next to the medieval tower. The meals were some of the best we had in Italy - with foods and flavours of the locality - gourmet meals reasonably priced. Our host (who may also be the chef?) was warm, welcoming and extremely helpful even coming to find us and guide us to the hotel when we got lost. We had a wonderful time and strongly recommend.

  Welcoming and helpful owner. English is spoken well enough to have good communication. Very comfortable common areas both inside and outside with beautiful view of lake. Large modern bathroom. Less than 10 minute drive into small town for eating. - Hospitality and warmth of owners. Really enjoyed our stay and will be there soon

  Rita was attentive before we even arrived. She advised us of parking (which is in a secure public lot a ways from the B&B) and offered help with our luggage. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised that she had upgraded us to a spacious "suite" complete with a nicely equipped, small kitchen (in which we prepared a dinner of local specialtie... o que as pessoas dizem » s!). The apartment was simply charming; some stone walls, lovely furnishings, wonderful bathroom with chic, modern appliances; and, many large, double - Very central. Good security staff while only on site for breakfast went out of their way to help us including picking us up from ports nova bus depot and taking us up the hill in their car which was appreciated by New Zealand travellers who had been travelling over 25 hours to get to this first port of stay. The bed was very comfortable so comfortable we were able to come back to property for a nap before dinner and that was only a few steps very reasonable pizza and restaurant. Cannot say enou

  We recommend this place. The clean and bright rooms. Nice owners. They really care about their hotel. Breakfast is really rich. Most things are homemade. Big variety of homemade pies. Moka coffee. If you have a car, it is good place for visiting Umbria. No problems with parking. The best part of the breakfast was not just the home-baked goodies, but the big thermos of brewed Italian coffee. I appreciated the daily housekeeping.

  I love, love this hotel. I had a room on the upper floor, under the eaves, so to speak. It was gorgeous. The private bathroom was ultra modern, clean and complete with a bath and a shower. The room we had was charming with its beams and slanting roof and the lovely terrace to sit out on. The common room we had to share with others also had charm and was a good place to sit to use the internet. We appreciated the coffee machine - great to have good coffee in the morning.
