On arrival we received a hospitable warm welcome. We found this to be a clean and well run hotel with friendly staff. The restaurant served an excellent choice of good food in a pleasant relaxing environment. We will definitely use this hotel again!. A very clean, light and airy hotel. The room was very comfortable and will benefit from the ongoing process of enhancement.We would have no hesitation in staying there again.Room Could do with a lick of paint and a general tidy up of wall decor. Needs double glazing as is near a main road. Has an issue with shower running hot and cold. Check out is 11 so breakfast should be served until at least 10.30, not finish at 9.30.We were disappointed that the restaurant was closed and had only been informed of this a few days before our stay. A touch too close to the main road, but didn't disturb our sleep. However, because of the location, the noise of the passing traffic occasionally was slightly intrusive. The shower head and bath could do with a good old scrub. The matresses are a little 'tired'. There was only one curtain in the bedroom.Near a busy road so quite noisy at night could do with good double glazing. rooms were a little warm. We found the bed to be a little uncomfortable. The continental breakfast, croissants were cold and dry, coffee rather weak!Others had English breakfast which was fine.The room was very tired and in need of refurbishment. View from window restricted. No. Some aspects scruffy; reception not very efficient; no-one on duty when we wanted to check out. Although friendly and helpful, the staff on reception didn't always have good local knowledge, which is essential. The bedroom was fine, but in need of a bit of redecoration.New management unfriendly, no idea how to greet people staying at their hotel, not one English person working at the hotel. The room occupied could do with a facelift. The service in the resturant was way too slow. On one occasion we had to wait over forty minutes to order our breakfast, and even then I had to call the waitress over. Things weren't much quicker when we used the restaurant in the evening. The shower was awful as it was impossible to keep a constant temperature. The bath was supposed to be big enough to share, but you'd have to be under 5'2!. Food over priced. Windows need replacing. Noise from passing traffic. We had to move rooms as the room allocated was terrible. There was dead insects on the floor, cigarette burns in the carpet (in a non-smoking room), and black mould around the seals in the bathroom. We changed rooms, and again there was black mould around the seals in the bathroom, and although no dead insects; the shower did not work well at all. We complained to the staff, who did not help. it was dreadful, I do not believe this is 3 star as advertised on your web site. worst hotel I have stayed in for a very long time.
