The staff was truly remarkable- they saw to every need and then did more. Your comfort and attention to detail was the top priority but offered in a personal way. The restaurant and staff offered fine dining that was fresh, delicious, and again remarkable. The family- run care was evident.
Number 4 at Stow was easy to access. While located near a major road, the rooms were well-insulated from the traffic and we had a restful sleep. The restaurant was excellent for dinner. Excellent personal service from staff and management. Lovely relaxed atmosphere. Food was outstanding. A family run business which prides itself in excellent customer service, which is second to none. It was our second visit to the number four and we will certainly be returning!.
On arrival we were greeted very warmly. The hotel is lovely and modern but also cosy. Room facilities good, ESP large bed although room a little tight for space. Good breakfast and staff helpful with local information. Willingly go there again.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and everything was of very high quality. The beds were lovely and extremely comfortable. The food both for breakfast and in the evening in Cutlers Restaurant was outstanding!.

countries in Europe and would highly recommend Number 4 to others as a

Lovely spacious room, great breakfast. If I have to make a comment we found the mattress too firm and the pillows too soft which did not give neck support.

The lighting in the lobby area was dark in the afternoon when the natural light fades -even though there were ample beautiful fixtures it would be a cozier atmosphere if they were used ( not sure what energy efficient measures were in place though).
Unfortunately we booked a Sunday night and did not realise the restaurant was closed. Menu looked great so we were disappointed not to try it. Does mean that we need to go and stay again though just so we can try the restaurant.

The only thing I could say, is that although the room had every thing you needed it was a little on the small side but comfortable.

We killed four small spiders in our room so my wife slept in her clothes. Did not like the response of the manager when I suggested a small price adjustment seemed appropriate. I now understand that there are lots of spiders in England.

The room was quite small. Found the hotel a little clinical and corporate. Also felt there wasn't any charm to it. Probably more suited to business trips, rather than a weekend away. There was a busy road beside it which made it a little noisy.

the staff had a rather annoying habit of asking if you were going to dine in their restaurant every time you went past reception.
