Just like the other remarks about this hotel said, this is a great hotel to stay, easy to find and drive to Amboise from. Stated the wish for a kingsize bed instead of twinbeds and for a bathtub instead of shower in my booking, both were fulfilled. - Friendly helpful staff. Went the extra mile to make our stay pleasant. Hotel is situated in a quite area on the opposite side of the river to the town. A short walk across the bridge and your are in the centre. The rooms were good and we had a ground floor room which opened onto a small area with outside seating which was great as it was hot. No air con but as it was quiet we could leave window open.

The room was spacious with TV and a large en-suite bathroom. Everything was immaculately clean.
The WiFi was good - not super fast but good enough to check emails / browse the web.
Breakfast was good with bread, yoghurt, compote, jams, honey and fresh coffee.
The onsite parking was a bonus and being able to park right outside your room was good.

The hotel is very conveniently placed in the centre of Chateauroux opposite a multi storey car park. There is a lift which is essential if you are on the third floor, as we were, to carry luggage. Fantastic location, a stone,s throw from the cathedral and the old town of Chartres. Very helpful map sent beforehand by the hotel with info for where to park to drop off luggage. Free car park pass from the hotel for the underground car park which was a five minute walk away. Good breakfast and helpful staff. Do not miss the light show at the cat

The location right next to the Cathedral is wonderful and this puts you in the best place for exploring Chartres.
The breakfast was fabulous.
The manageress/owner was lovely and really helpful.
The parking (included in the room rate) in a nearby public car park is easily arranged with the hotel.
The room Les Anges was beautiful - very romantic, with views to the front and rear of the hotel, a screened-off sitting area and a bathroom with jacuzzi bath.
We will definitely return.

Proximity to the cathedral was great. My husband and I could walk to it in less than 10 minutes. Although the breakfast was not included, it was worth the cost as it included fresh fruits, meats, cheeses, different breads, as well as scrambled and soft boiled eggs. We would recommend it to anyone who would be interested in visiting Chartres. -

The hotel was relatively new and located in a business park on the outskirts of Dreux, so it seems remote, but there are two restaurants and a Macdonald's within a 3-5 minute walk, so if you're just there for a quick stopover on your journey, it's perfectly suited.
Decor is nice and the wetroom / bathroom was of a very high standard.

Staff are brilliant, very kind and helpful. Rooms a good size, parking secure and plenty of it. Breakfast very good value as it is buffet. Lots of choice, eat as much as you want, suitable for vegetarians. Lovely facilities, handy for the motorways. I would recommend it to anyone, restaurants nearby, within walking distance. Excellent! The best hotel we have stayed in in the area.
