  I absolutely loved everything about this hotel, the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, the rooms were clean and comfortable, excellent value for the price.   We love what Douglas Fir has to offer our two Granddaughters in terms of facilities(the pool, hot tub and play park). We had a one bedroom chalet which was perfect for us and Douglas Fir provided a playpen and highchair, which meant we did not have to pack them in the car. We love seeing the wildl - The Waterslides and Indoor Playground were BIG hits with the kids!! The fireplace and free wood were most welcome. The surprisingly convenient and well-stocked store on site was also a welcome convenience. The full kitchen and nearby parking were very handy. The location is far enough from town that it is quiet at night, but a close bus ride, short drive, or half hour walk away from the Resort.

  The facilites were fabuluous and the staff was very accomodating. The location was perfect since our trip centered around Banff and Lake Louise. Staying in Canmore was more afforadble and allowed us to sightsee a bit more on the way to our destinations. - The guest lounge that has big TV and sofas, wii for playing.
