Upon arrival the staff were friendly and throughout my stay. My room was enormous, well decorated and came supplied with a more than an ample supply of tea and coffee. I had a sea view and I couldn't of been happier. The food and service was fabulous, the location couldn't of been more perfect and the areas within the hotel for drinking/eating or just relaxing we're fantastic. I would definitely stay again, the added bonus as a surfer was that the heated bath rail in the bathroom was very war.
alle vurderinger » I got an excellent room only rate from letsbookhotel.com- £29 per night for a double room. I asked for a quiet room on an upper floor and got just that. The room was very clean and was much better than I had expected for the price. I have stayed in a number of the old victorian hotels in Scarborough and this certainly matches them- however as a result of the price it offers the best value for money I have seen. Another major positive is the ample on road parking available nearby- this is much e. We loved the staff, they were great and helpful about parking the car (even after we'd left they informed us we could park for the day for just £2!!! that's great) The location was amazing we just hopped on the cliff lift down to the beach. The high ceilings made the room feel more spacious. The bar and pool table and large tv downstairs were great for us to just relax and have a couple of drinks and a game of pool and then watch Alan Carr chatty man with the other guests :) Thoroughly enjoyed . The staff were friendly and helpful at all times. Despite several adverse reviews read previously, our room was wonderful, the bed was comfortable and the room was spacious, the shower room was also bigger than many reviews suggested. The sea view was a bonus and the chocolates and complimentary tray were much appreciated. We loved our stay at the Brooklands, wished we could have stayed longer and would definitely return. For £44 two of us enjoyed what was described as a "De luxe twin room": it easily lived up to its name. It was spacious, with a big bay window from which we saw the sea. The weather was wet & windy, but the central heating was excellent, & the thick lined curtains beautiful; the beds, bathroom & TV were all one could wish for, & the Reception staff most efficient & friendly. the staff are very helpful and friendly. the rooms we have stayed in are very comfortable, clean and spacious.The hotel is situated just above the spa, a comfortable short walk to the centre, but easy reach to the beach (walk or tram). Parking is cheap (roadside) for duration of stay, atmoshere is very easy going. Stayed there several times, no hassle. A great hotel !!!. I travelled with my 8 year old son and dog Monty. We all had a smashing time-very friendly and welcoming hotel.There is a green opposite which is great for exercising the dog.-people that moan have to look at what they're paying and trot along to a 4* with 4* prices. A good all round hotel,comfortable and homely-no problems at all-in fact we're off again in a few months. We stayed with our little dog Skye and was offered a private dining room for breakfast! It was an amazing place to spend the weekend. The room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was very nice and the staff were SUPER excellent. We don't believe that we could get better services than what we had in Brooklands! We would stay in Brooklands again. I cannot fault Brookland Hotel. The bedroom was clean with everything you needed and we found it to be a very friendly hotel with excellent staff, who made you feel very welcomed. The breakfast was great and again the staff made you feel welcomed, always with a friendly smile. I would not hesitate in recommending Brookland Hotel. The room was very clean and the maids replenished our coffee and milk every day. IT was a bit of a challenge to get to our room up several flights of stairs then a maze of corridors . We only had breakfast once but think the cooked breakfast needed more to desire . But all in all we enjoyed our stay. We took our labrador, the staff were very friendly towards her and she was allowed everywhere in the hotel apart from the resturant but if you wanted your dog to stay with you they make you a table up in the games room to eat your meal which is very accomodating. The evening meal we had was lovely. Staff were absolutely fantastic, really welcoming! Lovely hotel with a nice bar and games room. Bedrooms were very spacious were beautiful decor. Got a very cheap deal but would be happy to pay more. Breakfast is also really good and only £5.50 extra per person when you book the night before. Fab staff very helpful. Nice and quiet area around hotel, just across road from south cliff lift. Very pet friendly hotel, so is Scarborough in general. Lovely quiet location in a very nice area of Scarborough. Excellent value for money, rooms were spacious, clean and nicely decorated. Lounge bar very welcome for a nightcap and chat before going to bed. Being able to take our dog with us was a huge bonus. The staff were really great especially the reception ladies who booked us in and out. Lovely breakfast and although the rooms and building are getting a bit dated everything seems to be done to keep it all up together? More than happy!. Ilike the lay out of the room and the games roomwas open alot.It was close to the sea and had a beautiflul garden outside the window.The heating was on alot which was good and the receptionstaff and bar man was wonderful. Staff were really friendly and helpful as we were unsure about parking. We found that it was easy to just get a permit for 2 pound for the length of our stay, not per day. Bargain! It's a great hotel for short breaks. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was good and service was excellent. The games room and lounges were ideal for our party of 13, whose ages range from 2 to 72. The location was fantastic. it was lovely the staff were fabulous and the hotel is very quirky with lovely big rooms, we had a deluxe room with a sea view, very clean and a lovely welcome pack in the room, we will definitely stay again. We wasnt expecting much for the price we paid, but we were really surprised. The room was small, but not cramped and was warm, cosy and clean.the breakfast was really nice and we left very full. We have stayed at the Brooklands Hotel before and it is good because you allow dogs, so we brought our dog along with us. Also, it is within our budget and well situated for the train station. Location, close to Scarborough South Bay which is where I was going surfing. Price, only paid £104 for four nights for a Double room - good value for money. The room was a great value for money and the staff really friendly. 2 minutes from the house you had a fantastic view over the whole coast of Scarborough!. location was excellent with parking close by for a small fee,staff were excellent,very helpfull and friendly,would definately return based on staff alone. A great hotel for the price, stayed three nights, breakfast was lovely room very spacious. The Hotel allowed dogs we had three dogs..no problems. The hotel was very pleasant and our room (111) was confortable and had an amazing view of the gardens. I was perfectly located for our needs. Enjoyed staying somewhere different to the grand hotel where we normaly stay it is a much better and more peacefull at that end of the bay. Our enormous room with enormous Victorian window overlooking a leafy park. The window even had a side seaview which wasnt even mentioned. Location, Clean rooms. Very pleasant lounge/games room. Accommodating staff. Nice traditional seaside hotel at a reasonable price. Spent our second evening in the hotel and played a quiz and bingo. Prices for the drinks about average and the entertainment ok. Allowed us to take our dog. Food good, breakfast very good. Rooms very clean and comfortable. Staff friendly and very helpful. The hotel provided excellent value for money- whilst not a 4 or 5* establishment, it certainly matches the competition- highly recommended!. The television was too high on the wall so when you were led in bed you couldn't see the picture at all :( we ended up sat up on cushions to watch a film. Nothing at all from our point of view. nothing. Rooms a little dated and tatty. Bathroom alittle small, but as we are on the larger side maybe ok if you are thin. We booked on room only basis, as this was only available. Would recommend booking meals in advance. Room numbering was a little confusing, as was the many staircases. Parking could be quite frustrating but that applies to Scarborough as a whole! Parking pass was welcome, however. I didnt enjoy the food it came cold and one of the male waiters was extremely rude. It was expensive for the taste. The shower was cold too. The shower heads weren't clean and although I am not aware of any other issues with cleanliness, it does make you question about other areas of the hotel. the pillows are too hard if you like fluffy ones take ya own. There was no entertainment in the hotel when we stayed and the advertising led us to expect some. Bathroom could do with upgrading but was very clean. If I'm being picky!. There isnt anything I can think off. Unfortunately our room was right next to the lift and so the door kept banging, but it didn't go on past 11 at night so it wasn't too much of a problem. The wedding reception that went on till 4am althought to be fair, that wasn't the hotels fault that most of them smoked on the pavement by tHe front door!. there is nothin negative about this hotel its all good. The bed seemed a bit hard however, slept soundly - obviously more comfortable when asleep than awake. Thought some of the furniture was a bit tired-looking in the room. The hotel entrance could be more inviting; black seems a bit sinister and out of character with the rest of the building. Minor things really. The lift doors proved very heavy for we older people, especially with handling luggage. We did notice that the interior of the bedroom window had not been cleaned for some time. 8.95 breakfast,went outside hotel as was cheaper. Nothing not to like. Toilet in a tight corner next to shower. There was a situation on the Friday night with the fire alarms going off, it was handled very poorly, not professional at all. Management skills left something to be desired. Sadly whilst entrance and inside the hotel was clean and well decorated, the outside needed a little attention. Our windows needed a good wash and the area immediatly outside the window needed a good tidy up - broken rooftiles and other debris. Bathroom was on the small side and the shower was a bit crap but nothing really to moan about. Room was cold but an extra heater was provided in the room. Room cosy (small) but adequate for our needs. Shower cubicle also very snug but manageable for us as average sized. Not much. Shower-room on the small side. Lift in awkward position in entrance but no complaints. Smell from Kitchens in the morning, think our room was above them. Breakfast was ok but only choose this option once and never went for another - everything semed deep fried and not of very good quality, ok if you just want to fill up and arnt fussy. The door of my room rattled loudly as soon as someone else was openig/closing their doors on the same corridor. But it could be mended with a tissue for that one night. additional double room for brother had two matresses pushed together wich meant them slipping down the middle all night...it stated double room. Bathroom had a damp patch on ceiling (didn,t spoil our stay). Unfortunately our room 204 was next to the lift, which made it a little noisy and the floor boards on the corridor outside our room were very noisy when people walked on them. I appreciate that it is an old building, and there is not a lot you can do about that. Having said that both me and my husband had a very good nights sleep. We would certainly stay at your hotel again. would be more helpful if there was shelfs in the bathroom to put all your toiletries on thats all. Weeds growing on the ledges outside the window,and the rotten window frames. The main bar as shown on the website was not open during our stay. I think you would expect this to be open on a weekend in May. 8 thirsty golfers may have spent more time there had it been open. Street parking bit of a lottery.Had to park 250 yards away on saturday. Having to pay extra for breakfast at over £12.00 for two was too much. We got breakfast for £4.00 for both of us just by walking for 10 mins. The lift !.
