The pub is an old coaching station retaining its charms and the staff were excellent and friendly from arrival. The food served that evening was traditional pub fare and was very well priced, presented and tasty. The landlord was very accomdating. If we didnt have something he made sure we had and he also let his staff know for future reference. He kept an eye one everyone making sure they were comfortable and the waiting staff were excelllent food was brought out prompt and the food was cooked to perfection. Would have any trouble reccommending this inn

As I say, I wanted this hotel for its location; the hotel itself did nothing to detract from its convenient location: quite the opposite, it was admirable in its services. - Quiet place next to a pond,with nice view near the Wrekin hill, 10 miles from Shrewsbury, comfortable free parking. Got the timings for breakfast confused but the barman and the waitress with the beaming smile were very accomadating and nothing was too much bother for either member of staff, just sorry I didn't get there names to give them a proper mention.

We cannot praise this guest house and its great owners Mel and Brian, their lovely family...including their entertaining resident pooch Basil, enough. This heritage accommodation is quiet, spacious, comfortable and tastefully decorated.
